Job Description

The Pacific Northwest Section of the US Tennis Association (USTA PNW) is a 501(c)3 not-for profit organization looking for Sectional Tournament Associates for USTA League Section Championships.

Sunriver, Oregon for dates: September 14th-16th


  • Desire to work with adults in a competitive tennis setting
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes
  • Ability to facilitate people


  • Internal: work closely with designated USTA/PNW Tournament Director, Tournament Site Director and other tournament desk staff
  • External: work closely with the players and spectators


  • Assist in overseeing tournament desk
  • Assist in overseeing court assignments by utilizing posted tournament schedule
  • Maintain cleanliness of tournament site
  • Answer any general tournament questions
  • Contact Head Referee, Tournament Director, on-site Official, or Tournament Site Director as needed
  • Inform Tournament Desk of open courts
  • Responsive to Tournament Director and Head Referee needs
  • Responsive to Tournament Site Director and on-site Official needs
  • Ensure equipment set-up and take-down
  • Assist in pre-event tasks as assigned
  • Take clear photographs of scorecards and text the image to a designated USTA/PNW staff member (if Tournament Site Director unavailable)



  • Must pass a full background check
  • Cellular phone device with camera and texting capability preferred
  • Must have access to a vehicle/transportation in case of venue or assignment change


  • The ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
  • The ability to squat and bend over regularly
  • The ability to carry out repetitive motions regularly
  • The ability to lift and carry awkward items from one location to another
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds and visual cues (such as alarms and/or safety concerns both on and off court)
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain including tennis courts or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds.
  • The ability to work in extreme weather and indoor/outdoor conditions.
  • The ability to stand for length of shift (with breaks and lunches given per policy).
